Business Referral Network Minutes:  July 30, 2008:

Members in Attendence:  Gary Miljour, Lydia Wietsma, Chuck Wennerlund, William Robbins, Andrew Petersen, Bill Barchilon, Darenna Rainsdon and John Burke.

8:00am:  Meeting Started Members Introduced

8:05am:  Bill Barchilon shared with group the Treasury Report.

8:10am-9:00am- Business Meeting was conducted.  Members discussed how many mixer events to put on each year for group and what is the best practices for conducting our meetings.  We also discussed the best way to invite new members to the group.

Minutes from July 9, 2008 Meeting:

In attendance: At today’s meeting were Bill Barchilon, Anna Garcia, Gary Miljour, Darenna Rainsdon, Bill Robbins, Chuck Wennerland and John Burke.

Meeting: We had a very lively discussion concerning the economic environment and outlook for the future with an eye towards whether it is a good time to be in an expansion mode (to prepare for an upcoming upswing in the economy) or to adjust our sights downwards (so that we can reign in our horns and wait for better times).  Given that our group is one of small business people and entrepreneurs at heart, we all seem to be on the optimistic side. We believe that while our plans may not include any major expansions right now, we are all continuing to use the same tools and strategies (and new ones as we see fit) that we have used in the past to continue to promote ourselves and position ourselves to survive the current difficult times and come out swinging when the economy begins it’s upward trend.  With all the doom and gloom out there, it’s was nice to hear that we as a group believe in the future and know that whatever we are doing now is going to help us continue to grow regardless of any overall difficulties.
